Shannon Beckton had a promising career in Nursing, except she wanted more and to be able to help the community more.

She found working a full-time 9 to 5 job very unfulfilling and uninteresting, and even though she was frequently interacting with the public and the patients. For her, it seemed to lack the personal and human touch.

After volunteering at multiple senior centers and cleaning up for others, she realized that he had been missing her calling: she loved working with seniors and caring for others. Spending time with her children, being on her own time able to help others, and enjoying an outing didn’t feel like work at all, she embraced the wisdom, humor, and perspective that accompanied spending time with older folks.

After taking a job with the Department of Veterans Affairs, she realized there were many unmet needs in the marketplace of caring for the community, veterans and seniors. Many needed help that went beyond the traditional offerings at senior centers and adult living facilities. Many seniors wanted a regular companion to take them to the grocery store, accompany them to a doctor’s appointment, sort laundry, clean their place of living or just get through some day-to-day challenges. She decided to start a cleaning company with special programs for seniors.

She found a new passion that would be of help to the community and of struggling seniors. Though many don’t like to admit it, many people need help doing simple errands, like getting back and forth to the bank or post office, as well as household chores like unpacking groceries and tidying up things around their home.

Word spread quickly and Shannon started to add more and more services. Today, Spotless Janitorial Service offers a variety of services from Cleaning, laundry and more!
